XTERRA Gunstock Ranch Trail Run

What better way to enjoy the lush scenery and ocean views of Oahu than by running through it? Head to Gunstock Ranch in Laie, Oahu on October 17 for the choice of two courses on the North Shore: a 21-kilometer half-marathon and a 5K short course. The XTERRA Gunstock Ranch Trail Run is open to runners of all ages from all states.

27th Annual Talk Story Festival

Hawaii’s largest storytelling event, the 27th Annual Talk Story Festival will take place on October 17 from 5:30PM-8:30PM. Head to the McCoy Pavilion (on Ala Moana Blvd.) to hear an evening of stories on the topic “Hawaii–My Home”.

21st Annual Komen Hawaii Race for the Cure

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so be sure to register now for the 21st Annual Komen Hawaii Race for the Cure. The race takes place on Sunday, October 18, and organizers are hoping to get 7,000 participants this year.

Hallowbaloo Music+Arts Festival

Wondering what to do this Halloween? Try the Hallowbaloo Music+Arts Festival! Not only is there an amazing costume party, but there’s plenty of musicians performing as well. Things kick off at 5:30PM and will stretch from Chinatown to the historic Hawaii State Art Museum (HiSAM), as well as the surrounding streets.
