Here at JN Chevrolet,  we’re glad to be a part of the community in which we live and work, and we always look for a chance for us to give back. That’s why we’re proud of the Chevrolet brand for ramping up its support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month for the fifth year in a row.

“This is a cause close to the hearts of millions of people across the country and Chevrolet is offering individuals a number of ways to show their support,” said Paul Edwards, U.S. vice president, Chevrolet Marketing. “Through our efforts the past five years, we’ve helped the American Cancer Society raise more than $4.4 million for its programs to Find New Roads in the fight against breast cancer.”

Last year in particular, Chevy raised $1.2 million for the American Cancer Society through the Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks, and we’re hoping it can raise even more money this year. Here are just a few of the things Chevy’s doing in 2015:

  • For every social media post that includes the hashtag “#IDriveFor,” Chevy will donate $5 (up to $500,000).
  • Up to $50,000, Team Chevrolet Motorsports will donate $350 for each caution lap taken by the pink Chevrolet SS pace car during the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. The Series takes place at Talladega Superspeedway on October 25 and Martinsville Speedway on November 1.

As for what we’re doing at the dealership, we’ll donate $100 from the sale of every vehicle or motorcycle to the Breast Cancer Center at Kapiolani Medical Center through the month of October. So be sure to stop by today to check out our new and used Chevy models, and take one for a test-drive today.
